Men’s Athletic Model is comparable to traditional Physique and Beach body. Judging Officials will be looking for athletes to display symmetry, balance and proportion, with an emphasis on poise and presentation. Ideal athlete will have more of a beach body physique, not that of bodybuilder.
An appropriate to impressive shoulder, waist, and hip ratio shows precise and intentional muscle development in targeted areas.
Conditioning refers to the level of differentiation between adjacent muscles, delineating sections or fibers within the same muscle group and the degree of firmness (hardness) of muscle tone. Leanness is important but an overly dieted appearance is neither advantageous nor desirable. Men’s Athletic competitors should not display deeply drawn-in faces or stringy-looking muscularity (an emaciated look).
Muscularity refers to muscle size and development relative to the competitor’s frame, including shape and size. The shape and contour of the developed muscle and muscle groups are also to be considered. Men’s Athletic competitors should display: A slightly less muscular look than Men’s Sculpting. More of a beach body and general healthy, athletic look. Should demonstrate visible muscle separation and conditioning without striations. Visible abdominal separation. Visible separation between delts, biceps and triceps.
Mastery and presentation of mandatory poses, stage presense, connection with judges and audience.

Open to athletes from 18-39 years of age.
Open to athletes 40 years of age or older.
Open to division athletes up to and including 5’6″ tall.
Open to division athletes over 5’6″, up to and including 5’9″ tall.
Open to division athletes over 5’9″ tall.
All tanning must be performed by the approved Tanning Provider. Self-tanning or tans by unapproved third party tanning providers are NOT allowed. Competitors will NOT be allowed on stage with unapproved tans.

*Results and Placings for this division are based on both Phase 1 (10 Exercise Circuit) and Phase 2 (Stage Presentation) combined scores by class.
*TaMaarta Elite Status is awarded, pending successful urinalysis, to the First Place athlete in an Open class that has a minimum of five (5) athletes.
*TaMaarta Masters Elite Status is awarded, pending successful urinalysis to the First Place athlete in a Masters class that has a minimum of ten (10) athletes.
*This division becomes a Prize Money Incentivized division when there are ten (10) or more athletes competing in the Open class. The First Place athlete will receive, pending successful urinalysis, a $1000 prize.
